Welcome to Clark Point Inn 1883 Bed & Breakfast...
where a relaxing encounter by the sea awaits you. We are located on the "Quiet side" of Mount Desert Island in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Our Inn sits nestled alongside a working harbor, which provides our guestrooms wonderful water views to wake up to.
At Clark Point Inn, it's the details that make the difference. From our 3-Course Gourmet breakfast to Jennifer's handmade dark chocolate truffles to fresh flowers gracing our guestrooms. Whether you're vacationing, honeymooning or just desire a weekend away, you deserve to be pampered.
Join us in the dining room each morning to mingle with other guests as you enjoy breakfast. On pleasant weather mornings you are welcome to enjoy breakfast & sip coffee on our cedar porch overlooking the harbor. Our first course begins with a delicious breakfast pastry such as peaches-n-cream muffins, raspberry glazed chocolate bread, cinnamon sugar twists or decadent chocolate turnovers. Yummy!
The second course fruit serving will delight you with selections such as raspberry sorbet with sliced kiwi & toasted coconut, fresh tropical fruit, escalloped pineapple, angelic bananas, chocolate & pistachio topped roasted pears with raspberry coulis, caramelized bananas or buttermilk pudding with caramel oranges. Divine!
Our grand finale main course offers up dishes such as a tomato basil frittata, Passionate French toast with banana topping, caramel apple pancakes, chocolate griddle cakes with chocolate syrup, Strawberry Omelet, Butter poached eggs in tomato basil sauce, parsley crouton omelets with gruyere or roasted butternut squash & caramelized onion tart. Delicious!
Then you're off to enjoy an exciting day of swimming, hiking or biking in Acadia national Park. Maybe you'll choose to spend your day lazing on Sand Beach and browsing the quaint shops in the villages of Southwest harbor & Bar Harbor.
Clark Point Inn's location across from the upper town dock in Southwest Harbor is so very convenient. Factor in that we are a stop for the L.L. Bean Island Explorer Shuttle and you can't go wrong. The shuttle has 7 different routes for tours of Mount Desert Island.
Whatever your choice activities are for the day, you are cordially invited to join us at the Inn for afternoon tea time and homemade treats such as Rocky Road Brownie Pizza, Tiramisu, Blueberry Streusel Cobbler, or some good old fashioned chocolate chip cookies. Enjoy ice cold refreshments or something to warm your soul.
Your hosts, Mark & Jennifer, are pleased to assist you with dinner reservations and suggestions. Enjoy a delicious meal at one of our local restaurants which are most famous for clam chowder, steaks and, of course, Maine Lobster!
After dinner, return to the Inn and the comforts of your relaxing guestroom, where you may watch a movie, enjoy a selection from our library of books, sip your favorite wine or enjoy cheese & crackers while snuggling in front of the fireplace.
